I am very excited to start this new journey in my life. I will share with you the ups and downs in my life and how I have survived them all. My goal with this site is to share my life experiences with you, be totally honest about them and let you see that no matter what has happened in my life God has been so good to me.

I am finalizing my book for publication. It should have already been released but do to an unexpected medical emergency in June of 2017 it was delayed.  It is my life story showing how I had to come out of the darkness by “Facing the Impossible with Faith (Mark 5:24-35)”.  I have faced many demons and obstacles in my life, I have defied deaths door three times, lost my sister to an unsolved brutal murder, stood by my husband when he had a brain tumor, suffered with meningitis and was in a coma but I am ALIVE & STRONGER than ever!  I dedicate all of my survival and spirit to Richard East (next to God). He is my biggest hero! Without him I do not think I would be alive today.

My goal is to continue to write because it is an outlet for me.  I also love serving in my community.  I am a Court Appointed Special Advocate, which means that I am appointed to represent a foster child until it is appointed to return home or adopted. I also enjoy raising funds for CASA for their other needs. I am Vice-President for the Commission for Women of Bossier City.  I am very proud to serve on this Commission.  It has allowed me to mentor high school senior girls, do community service work, chair our Inspiring Women’s Week in 2017 (during the week my daughter got married!).  I am a patient advocate speaker for the ARDS Foundation.  I am currently serving on a special advisory board for the ARDS Foundation where Eileen Rubin secured a grant for research on “How to Humanize the ICU”.  I was very honored to attend the American Thoracic Society 2017 conference in Washington DC in May.  I was asked to give a speech on “How to Humanize the ICU”.  I had an article published in the 2017 American Thoracic Society Patient Voices.  It is a publication from the ATS Public Round Table.  I am Co-President for Epsilon Sigma Alpha which is an organization of wonderful ladies that together we have helped raise money for St Jude Children’s Research Hospital, help veterans, Easter Seals and many more.  What I have found in my life is that I am not bragging about all I do, I am telling you that I love all that I do.  I should not even be alive today.  But I am and I am so thankful that I get to get up each day and serve in such a way that it brings me true joy to my life.

Of course I can’t end this without speaking about the most important people in my life.  Richard, my husband, Jennifer and BJ, Jordan, Chace and Jack you are all my life.  I love you with every fiber of my being.  You all have been my rock!
